My father was a keen fisherman so I spent many happy hours as a child on the banks of various streams and rivers (probably ruining his chances of catching anything). I am still drawn to waterside locations and in this piece I’ve tried to let the stream pull the eye toward the distant cottages and autumn-coloured trees in the distance giving a very peaceful, “hidden corner of the world” vibe.

This painting is presented with a white mount and a pale grey frame, strung and ready to hang.
