Capturing a still moment on a tranquil bay where the ebbing water has left ridges in the sand, this painting in ink and watercolour was developed from sketches made on a recent tour of the Scottish Highlands and Islands. The colours are a mix of deep dark blues, pale greys and indigo. Boats can be seen in the far off distance.
