Big Skies in Watercolour – Dawn to Dusk
March 26 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Painting the Day: From First Light to Final Glow
The sky never stays the same for more than a second—how do you catch it on paper? We’ll spend the day looking at how light changes the mood of a scene, moving from the subtle, desaturated tones of early morning to the dramatic, fiery values of the evening. Through clear demonstrations and guided exercises, you’ll develop a toolkit of adaptable techniques to paint many different skies.
The Dawn Palette: Cool tones and soft-edge transitions.
Midday Dynamics: Managing high-sun contrast and “hard” cloud edges
Sunset Mastery: Layering warm glazes without lifting the base.
