DESCRIPTION:Watercolour Course Thursday mornings from 4th to 25th February 2027 \n\n\n\n\n\nNext February I will be teaching a four-week course\, designed for anyone who has tried watercolour but found it frustrating\, or who is self-taught and feels they have reached a point where their paintings aren’t developing. \n\n\n\nRather than simply producing a finished painting each week\, the course focuses on the key watercolour techniques and principles that make the medium work. You will learn how to control water\, paint and brushes\, understand how to build colour and tone\, and avoid some of the common habits that can make watercolour muddy\, flat or difficult to control. \n\n\n\nEach three-hour session combines demonstrations\, practical exercises and guided painting\, giving you the opportunity to practise techniques and learning how to apply them in your own paintings. \n\n\n\nBy the end of the four lessons\, you should have a much better understanding of how watercolour behaves\, greater confidence in handling the medium and a set of techniques you can continue to develop in your own work. \n\n\n\nYou will need to bring your own materials (so that you have everything you need to continue painting on your own after the course) but I will supply a detailed list of what to bring – as well as bringing plenty of extra supplies with me for you to borrow if you’re missing anything. \n\n\n\n£175 per person for the course\, or £155 to my subscribers.  \n\n\n\n4th – 25th February 2027 10.00-1.00 \n\n\n\nBeech Hill Hall\, Wood Lane\, Beech Hill\, RG7 2BE near Reading.Teas and coffees will be provided.
